Moss Bureau designed several installations in collaboration with David Rockwell for Chefs Club NYC. The main feature is the iconic salt shard which hangs in the center of the restaurant, hovering over the chef’s table. It weighs 1,300 lbs. The charcoal portraits of multiple famous chefs were initially installed on the west wall of the dining room. The charcoal portraits were done by a man named Ren, an artist we found in Central Park. In the back dining room is a secret cabinet that contains several items from various chef’s personal collections of memorabilia.
